Proper Formats for Logo Artwork Submission

Read and heed!

It's extremely important that you read these instructions so we can be sure to give you flash drives with a high-quality logo. Take some time to learn about vector art and its significance for your logo.

The basic version:

Graphic art files generally come in two main formats – raster art and vector art. VECTOR ART is what we require!

The detailed version:

Most images that you find on the internet are in Raster Art format. These have file extensions such as .psd, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, etc. Our designers can’t resize images in these formats without the images losing quality. When making a Raster Art image larger, it becomes grainy and pixilates. Pixilation causes a less-than-optimum imprint or laser etch that does not meet our high standards! We can't stand grainy, poor-looking images, which don't reflect well on us or your brand.

What role do you play?

Make doubly sure that you send us a “true” Vector Art file. These types of files have extensions such as .swf, .cad, .ai, and .eps and are made using software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, or Corel Draw. The final image is a sharp and clear with no pixilation. This is the type of image that we like working with and that you want to see on your custom USB drives.

One last reminder: do NOT use design software to change a file from .gif, .jpg, or another “untrue” Vector Art file to a .eps, .ai, etc. Attempting to take this shortcut just causes more of a hassle for our graphic designer, Henry, who could be willing to create a true Vector Art file for you at a nominal cost. Maybe.
